tracks for all side 1 (disc 1, tracks 1-4) and 'Blood Blisters' recorded on
15/7/89 at the Civic Centre, Otley, on Steve's Ghetto Blaster.
All other backing tracks recorded on 29/7/89 at the Civic Centre, Otley, on
Steve's Ghetto Blaster.
All these latter tracks except 'Bramp!' and the first few bars of
'Pigshatterheadsick' were 100% improvised by Riz, Ash and Mackeral.
All overdubs, 'Eaten By Oysters' and 'Nosedirt' were recorded at Flatus Tree
Studio, Headingley on a Fostex X-15 during a variety of dates throughout July
and early August 1989.

Ah, I bet everyone likes to do a double-album, a great excuse for long
self-indulgent work outs, a chance to bring numerous ideas to a head, and to
do something a bit lavish. All in all, that's what Rancid Poultry have done
here, even the packaginq is a labour of love.
Attempting to break away from the
psychedelic tag I put on them (sorry guys!), the sound here is predominantly
post new-wave, aggressive rock as instigated by D-A-F, Chrome, PiL, Die Haut
et al, in the late Seventies - early Eighties, a music that also had its
roots in the psychedelic era, but with a new raw, aggressive energy. Thus
crossing the boundaries of rock, new-wave, industrial, dub and avant-garde,
LUNGS FULL OF LEAD is an intense explorative trip of aggressive raw rock and
