Recorded direct to digital at Tachyon Studio, Knighton Fields, Leicester, as 6 improvised sessions, afternoon and evening of Sunday 24 April 2011.
Digital transfer 15 May 2011 and edit/remix 27 September 2012 by Alan Freeman.

Alan: synthesizer, laptop, guitar-synth, etc.
Steve: loops, bowed things, synthesizers, turntable, etc.
Dave: guitar, flute, hurdy-gurdy, etc.

A very experimental Triax session. Dave was trying out new sounds on his guitar, and Alan was experimenting with fold-back via analogue modulation. But, aside from the stuff that most would deem an incoherent mess, there was still plenty of source material to construct a decent length album out of. Time for a radical remix job, lots of reconstruction, collage, reprocessing, flipped backwards sounds, etc. The resulting album is indeed "A Foreign Country" sometimes a little more Nurse With Wound than the usual Triax, with very little of the patent hurdy-gurdy and rhythm-free!
